The Zim Israel National Navigation Company cargo ship ATLIT left Haifa for Elath in the Gulf of Aqaba. Because the Egyptian Government will not allow Israeli ships to transit the Suez Canal the vessel will have to sail through the Mediterranean then around the entire coast of Africa and then pass through the Strait of Tiran to Elath.
