The Netherlands owned and registered cargo ship SCHELDEGRACHT was scheduled to leave Greenock Ocean Terminal at 12:00 noon.    Tug ANGLEGARTH was in attendane.

The time came --- and went.    SCHELDEGRACHT remained at her berth.   This delay was causing a problem for the incoming container ship MSC MARIA PIA which wanted the berth.    More about this in our item about MSC MARIA PIA.

Eventually, two and a half hours later, at 14:27, the tug hauled her stern off the quay wall and towed her from the Ocean Terminal to the fairway and turned SCHELDEGRACHT around to leave for the passage across the North Atlantic Ocean to sunny Florida USA.
