HALCYON was originally built as a sailing ketch, and after being purchased by her master William McMillan in 1947 was fitted with a new engine. She was a regular visitor to Irvine Harbour, and was scrapped in 1966. Longer than the usual Clyde puffer she was 84 feet long and had a beam of 20 feet.
