POTASH AND TIMBER TRADE AT AYR HARBOUR

Visiting Ayr Harbour this week was the German motor vessel "Galtgarben," registered at Bremen, which discharged a cargo of potash from Barcelona, for an Ayr firm of fertiliser manufacturers.
It was the vessel's first voyage to Ayr.
Also in port was the Glen Line steamer "Winga" with a part-cargo of timber from the Baltic for an Ayr firm.
