This 810 gross ton coastal tanker was launched on 29th February 1944, during the Second World War, as yard number 455 by Grangemouth Dockyard, Grangemouth, Scotland, for the British "Ministry of War Transport."
In 1947 she was sold and renamed Amin, and sold again in 1952 and renamed BP DISTRIBUTOR.
She ended her days on 31st May 1965 when she arrived at the shipbreakers at Willebroek, in Antwerp Province, Belgium.
