This 13,252 gross ton 19042 deadweight ton ocean tanker was completed in 1959 by Scotts Shipyard, Greenock, for the British India Steam Navigation Company Limited.
Her details were 560 feet (170.7 metres) in length, 72 feet (22 metres) breadth, and her single propeller was driven by a steam turbine engine giving a service speed of around 14 knots.
She was sold in 1969 and renamed "Saint Michael," and again sold in 1971 with a change of name to "9 de Octubre."
Her life came to an end in May 1981 when she arrived at Callao, Peru, for breaking up.
