BENLOMOND was built in 1957 by Charles Connell's Shipyard at Scotstoun, Glasgow as one of Ben Line's "BENREOCH" class of cargo liners, being 508 feet long, 64 feet breadth and 30 feet draft
In 1977 she was sold for demolition and arrived at Chi Shun Hwa Steel Co., Kaosiung (Taiwan) on 15th October for breaking up.
