Royal Naval Frigate

The name Keppel was given to a Type 14 "BLACKWOOD" Class Frigate when launched on 31st August 1954 by Yarrow Shipbuilders at Scotstoun, Glasgow. This later ship was the third HMS KEPPEL and remained in service until placed on the Disposal List in 1977. Sold in 1979 for demolition at Sittingbourne, Kent, she served mainly in Home waters including duty with the Fishery Protection Squadron.
