Bolton Shipping Company's RUYSDAEL shifts from Meadowside Quay to Prince's Dock, Glasgow

RUYSDAEL arrives in Glasgow on 6th July at 1845 from Buenos Aires (Argentina) via Liverpool.

On 12th July at 2120 RUYSDAEL shifted from berths 7 and 8 Prince's Dock to Meadowside Quay, returning from Meadowside on 19th July to her previous berth 7 and 8 Prince's Dock.
The Prince's Dock logbook does not show what time she returned to Prince's Dock, so until the time is established a general time of 1200 is keyed onto site.

At 1010 on 25th July the oiler APEXITY comes alongside and delivers 140 tons of diesel.
Later that day, at 1515, APEXITY again comes alongside an delivers 10 tons of fuel oil to RUYSDAEL

RUYSDAEL departed Glasgow for Buenos Aires (Argentina) via Liverpool on 26th July at 1732.

Tug FLYING SPITFIRE tows RUYSDAEL from 4 Meadowside Quay past Govan Watch House, Glasgow

Tug FLYING DUCK at bow and tug FLYING SPITFIRE at stern were towing RUYSDAEL from berth 4 Meadowside Quay ahead and passing Govan Watch House at Govan Wharf, Govan, Glasgow, and heading East upriver.

   At Prince's Dock canting basin (= a large area of water where a ship can be turned around 180 degrees) the two tugs canted (= turned) RUYSDAEL and the ship was then able to proceed down the River Clyde on the start of her passage to her next port-of-call.

At 1050 on 17th July CITY OF POONA left from berth 6 Prince's Dock, shifting to berth 77 Plantation Quay, head West, arriving in position 77 at 1130 am. Draught forward was 11' 7" and aft 18' 11" She departed from Plantation Quay for Liverpool on 19th July at 1445
