The Dock Log Book shows that IRISH ELM carried away (= broke) six wire back springs on 25th and 26th August.
At 1230 on 27th August IRISH ELM shifted along the dock wall from berth 4 to berth 3.
Oiler CLANITY arrived alongside at 1230 on 29th August and bunkered her with 280 tons of fuel oil, finishing bunkering at 1420. CLANITY then left IRISH ELM for Prince’s Dock, Glasgow.
IRISH ELM left Glasgow at 1800 on 30th August for Philadelphia.
