SHONGA arrived in Glasgow at 0450 on 15th March from Swansea to load for West African ports.

On 16th March at 1000 the floating crane NEWSHOT came alongside and loaded 5 heavy lifts totalling 22 tons onto SHONGA.

Having completed loading, SHONGA cast-off her ropes at 1915 on 19th March and departed her Glasgow berth for Dublin and Freetown (West Africa)
