Tug-master Docherty brought the the Steel & Bennie's tug WRESTLER from Greenock to Ardrossan Roadstead and connected to the stern of the Shell "H-class" oil tanker HALIA, and assisted as the Ardrossan tug SEAWAY towed the tanker bow-first from the Ardrossan roads into berth 12 - the ocean tanker berth - at Ardrossan Harbour

HALIA would discharge her cargo of fuel oil to the nearby Shell Refinery at North Crescent, Ardrossan

When HALIA was all-fast on the berth, the Ardrossan Pilot released WRESTLER and the tug left the Harbour to return to Greenock
