Tug SEAWAY at the stern and tug STRONGBOW at the bow assisted the Shell Oil Tanker HINDSIA stern-first from the tanker berth at Ardrossan Harbour, through the 300-feet wide Harbour entrance (between the breakwater and the Lighthouse Pier) out to the Roadstead, where they let go their towropes

At the Roadstead, the Ardrossan Harbour Pilot released STRONGBOW and the tug left Ardrossan to return to Greenock
