Steel & Bennie's tug STRONGBOW had arrived at Ardrossan Roadstead from Greenock and attached her towrope to the stern of the Dutch tanker KAAP HOORN. The Ardrossan Harbour tug SEAWAY at the bow and STRONGBOW at the stern then assisted KAAP HOORN bow-first from the Roadstead into the tanker berth number 12 at Ardrossan Harbour

Then, having been released by the Pilot, STRONGBOW left Ardrossan to return to her base at Greenock
