Steel & Bennie's tug CAMPAIGNER arrived at Ardrossan Roads towing the Boom Defence Vessel HMS BARRANCA from the Gare Loch in the Firth of Clyde.

At the roads the Ardrossan Harbout tug SEAWAY assisted in the tow, manoeuvering HMS BARRANCA through the 57-feet wide dock gates of the Old Dock to the Ardrossan Dockyard Basin

CAMPAIGNER then left Ardrossan for Troon.

NOTE: HMS BARRANCA arrived at Smith & Houston Shipbreakers at Port Glasgow on 5th August 1964 for breaking-up
