Soviet Navy tug sighted off Orkney Isles, north Scotland

   A Russian naval tug was today lying five to six miles east of the Orkney island of Papa Westray.

   This is the first Soviet naval vessel sighted near Orkney since eight or nine ships, including a cruiser and destroyers, were reported in the same area at the end of last year.

   The tug was first seen on Thursday, went out to sea on Friday and returned today.
