On 21st February 1963 while at Dungarvan (southeast coast of Ireland).a fire occurred in the ships pantry and Captain W. Lambeck (50) and his 45-year-old Danish woman were killed. The ship had arrived with a cargo of milk powder from Antwerp and was discharging.

The owner Schokkenbroek traveled to Dungarvan and brought the ship with the deceased, to Delfzijl for repair.
