Master of Turnbull Scott's tanker EASTGATE dies at sea on passage from Curacao to Mersey

   The Port of Liverpool were notified of the death at sea of 59-year old Captain David Morrison of Glasgow, master of the 12,166 gross ton oil products tanker of Turnbull Scott Line.   The vessel is on passage from Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean Sea to the Mersey with a cargo of crude oil and is due in the Mersey in a few days time.

   Captain Morrison is believed to have died after suffering a heart attack on the return voyage to the UK and was buried at sea.
