From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" newspaper dated 22nd January 1965.
Twenty vessels, including three tankers, docked at Ardrossan during the week ended last Saturday.
The largest of the tankers was "Brazza" registered at Palermo, which arrived from Eastham with fuel oil.
The "Caernarvonbrook" docked with a cargo of sulphur which was transported to Ardeer Factory. It had come from Bayonne, France.
Another foreign ship, the "Vestkyst" brought fish-meal from Horstad.
