   Part of the Royal Navy Home Fleet anchored off Invergordon in Scotland.

   Among the ships were the Battleships H.M.S. NELSON and H.M.S. RODNEY, the Cruisers H.M.S. NEPTUNE and H.M.S. ORION, the Aircraft Carrier H.M.S. COURAGEOUS  and the Light Cruiser H.M.S. CAIRO which was leading a number of Destroyers of the Fifth Flotilla.

   Many Liberty Men went ashore and took part in games and local people were able to visit some of the ships.

   The Fleet will leave for four days of exercises and gunnery practice.
