POLARLIGHT had arrived at Meadowside Quay, Glasgow, on 2nd September with the intention of loading a cargo of Barley for Bruichladdich, Isle of Islay (for account of Bruichladdich Distillery Company) but she was caught in a dock strike until 9th September when loading was resumed. After loading was completed POLARLIGHT shifted to Queen’s Dock where she bunkered with coal and then left on passage to Bruichladdich. |
