POLARLIGHT had arrived at Meadowside Quay,

 Glasgow, on 2nd September with the intention of

loading a cargo of  Barley for Bruichladdich, Isle of

Islay (for account of Bruichladdich Distillery Company)

but she was caught in a dock strike until 9th September

when loading was resumed.

   After loading was completed POLARLIGHT shifted

to Queen’s Dock where she bunkered with coal and

then left on passage to Bruichladdich.
