Alfred Holt's Blue Funnel THESEUS shifts from 1 King George V Dock to Elderslie Drydock, Glasgow

 The 489-feet long Alfred Holt’s Blue Funnel cargo liner

THESEUS arrived at berth 1 King George V Dock, Glasgow,

with her head South, at 1315 on 13^th July 1964.

   She had come from Adelaide and Albany (both in

Australia) via Liverpool with a general cargo, and her

draught forward was 15’ 06” and aft 21’ 07”

   Renfrew Stevedore Company started unloading

on 13^th July and completed discharge at 1930 on

23^rd July.

   At 1645 on 15^th July THESEUS, still carrying part

of her inward general cargo,  shifted a short distance

downriver to the nearby Elderslie Drydock for normal

hull maintainance, and she undocked on 17^th July,

returning to berth 1 King George V Dock at 1715.

   She commenced loading 1,200 tons of general

cargo at 0800 on 18^th July and finished loading at

1400 on 24^th July.

   THESEUS, drawing 14’ 04” forward and 19’ 08”

aft, let go her moorings at 2008 on 24^th July, and

left Glasgow for Bremen (Germany) and Melbourne

(Australia)
