Two workmen talking at B Ae Systems Shipyard at Govan, Glasgow |
||
By e-mail from Jim (Glasgow) At BAe Systems Shipyard (formerly Fairfields Shipyard) in Govan, Glasgow the other day I overheard two workmen talking :
First Man : “My wife has just bought a new thing for the house. You put some scented water in it and switch it on. When it boils and bubbles it is supposed to remove all the impurities from the air. I told her that it’s a bloody waste of money”
Second Man : “Knowing you, the air in your house will be full of profanities (= bad language, swearing, nasty, unpleasant and unkind words.”)
