DEVON COAST tows LAIRDSROCK fom Ailsa Craig to Ardrossan Harbour

   At 2220 on 14^th June LAIRDSROCK, on passage from

Belfast to Ardrossan, was near Ailsa Craig and had to

reduce speed due to fuel shortage.

   A short time later DEVON COAST was passing and

was alerted by radio, and, at 0035 on 15^th June

DEVON COAST took LAIRDSROCK in tow towards

Ardrossan.

   At 0331 when nearing Ardrossan the tow lines

were cast off and LAIRDSROCK proceeded into the

Harbour under her own power.
