What are “Millport Illuminations” ?

  Millport September Weekend, traditionally celebrates the end of the island’s

summer season.   Activities such as sandcastle competitions, crabbing,

fancy dress and young talent events take place during the day.

  In the evening illuminated houses, themed windows in shops,

street theatre, the streets being decorated with coloured lights

and the day ending with a superb firework display.
