1960 Summer Season Passenger and Vehicle Numbers

Mr. Hamilton, Stationmaster and Goods Agent, Ardrossan, informs that the number of passengers from Ardrossan to Arran during the summer season was 89,749, and the number who returned from Arran via Ardrossan was 76,094.

The number of vehicles shipped from Ardrossan to Arran was 3,906 and the number shipped back to Ardrossan was 3,812.

The number of passengers who sailed from Ardrossan to Belfast this season was 20,806 and the number who returned via Ardrossan was 24,299.

Passengers from Ardrossan to the Isle of Man numbered 27,421 and the number who returned via Ardrossan was 26,769..

The seamens' strike cut out a full week of the Belfast run, and consequently affected the returns.
