1960 Summer Season passenger and vehicle numbers for Fairlie

From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" dated 4th November 1960

Mr. Cunningham, the new stationmaster at Fairlie, advises the figures from May to September, that during that period the number of passengers who left Fairlie for Arran was 44,173 and the number who returned from Arran to Fairlie was 50,077.
The number of vehicles was 3,744.

The above figures are amazing considering the limited pier space at Fairlie and the small staff employed there.
