CALEDONIAN ISLES leaves Ardrossan Harbour with passengers and vehicles for Brodick

It was an early summer morning with a completely overcast sky and heavy grey threatening clouds, cool, and, of course, persistent rain.   Dull, damp. depressing, dismal and dreary, a "dreich" day as the Scots would say, when CALEDONIAN ISLES left Ardrossan on her second trip of the day to Brodick.

   Only a few hardy passengers, sensibly well wrapped up for the weather, ventured onto the open deck to witness the departure.
