Eriskay is a small island measuring about 2 1⁄2 by 1 1⁄2 miles or 4 by 2.5 kilometres with a population of 143, as of the 2011 census and lies in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, between South Uist and Barra and is connected to South Uist by a causeway which was opened in 2001. |
