From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" dated Friday 13th March 1964. The 720-ton oil barge "Afpet 6" - built by Ardrossan Dockard Company for African Petroleum Terminals Ltd - left the harbour on Wednesday on tow for Freetown, Sierra Leone.
