Mr. David Clark retires from R.L.Alpine & Co. Ltd.

BUSINESS MAN TO RETIRE

Mr David Clark, 10 Parkhouse Road, Ardrossan, is retiring from the directorate of Messrs R. L. Alpine and Company Limited, shipbrokers, Winton Buildings Ardrossan,

A native of Glasgow, Mr Clark was engaged in the coal trade in that city before he came to Messrs Alpine in 1919.
He has been with the firm ever since and is well known in shipping circles.

"Conditions have changed very much since I came to Ardrossan," Mr Clark told a "Herald" reporter ; adding that the developments in handling cargo had been extraordinary.

Mr Clark is a keen amateur musician and is a member of the choir of Saltcoats St Cuthbert's Church.
He is also an enthusiastic supporter of Winton Rovers.
