Port Report dated Friday 2nd October 1964

From The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald dated Friday 2nd October 1964

Forty-five vessels, including three oil tankers, docked at Ardrossan Harbour during the week ended last Saturday.
Among the arrivals was the "Viking" from Cartagena, Spain, with a cargo of melons.
It was the first occasion since the war on which a fruit boat had visited the port.

When the Clyde paddle steamer Waverley arrived at Ardrossan Harbour on Monday her skipper reported having seen an inflatable rubber dingy floating in the Firth.
Ardrossan pilot boat searched the area but found nothing.
