Three men in court for stealing scrap copper from "Anabisi" at Ardrossan Harbour

COPPER STOLEN FROM SHIP

The sequel to the theft of scrap copper, valued at ?100, from the cargo of the M.V. Anabisi while she was in Ardrossan Harbour was heard at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last Friday.

Thomas Campbell, 68 Donaldson Avenue, Stevenston, Stewart McBlain, 14 Meadow Avenue, Irvine, and two members of the crew of the Anabisi admitted the theft.
Campbell was sent to prison for three months, McBlain was fined ?20 and the seamen were each fined ?10
