Captain Neil Campbell, 7 Caledonia Road, Ardrossan, who died at Glasgow on Sunday was captain of the Burns Laird vessel "Lairdswood" on the Ayr - Ardrossan - Belfast run.
A native of Islay and a son of the late captain Neil Campbell of the "Lairds Isle," he had been for the past 13 years sailing master with the Burns Laird Line.
