RESCUE BOAT IN ACTION

Largs inshore rescue boat was called out early on Sunday morning when distress signals were seen in the Largs Channel.
The large motor-boat "Lion of Jutland" was adrift with broken-down engines and the rescue boat took her in tow and brought the disabled ship into Largs Pier.
