"Bowprince" launched at Ailsa Shipyard, Troon

TROON LAUNCH

Last Thursday Ailsa Shipbuilding Company Ltd. launched from their yard at Troon the single-screw sand suction vessel M.V. "Bowprince," built for F. Bowles & Sons, Ltd., of Cardiff.

This is the third vessel recently built for these owners by Ailsa and it will be followed by a similar vessel to be completed in April, 1965.

The ship was named by Mrs. Mildred Josephine Bowles, wife of Mr. C. F. Bowles, a director of F. Bowles and Sons Ltd.
