The sea wall erected on the shore opposite Winton Circus, Saltcoats, is now completed and good progress is being made with the erection of additional dressing room accommodation at the bathing pond.

At a special meeting, Ardrossan Town Council by four votes to three rejected an offer by Ardrossan Dry Dock and Shipbuilding Coy, to sell the property of Castlecraigs to the council. The suggested price was not disclosed.
