Commenced loading 9th July 1958 at 0900 by Renfrew Stevedores of 500 tons general, and completed loading at 1700 on 11th July. Heavy Lifts There is a note of the ship loading 3 launches from .(Mechano/Medano ..?)...own gear . We cannot decipher what the unknown word means. ...... A Manson replies : Clan MacIntosh would have loaded these launches by the ship's heavy lift derricks hence "own gear" Perhaps you, the reader, can advise on the "Mechano / Medano ? She sailed on 12th July at 0808 for Chittagong via Birkenhead. |
