HALIA had discharged her cargo of fuel oil to the nearby Shell Refinery at North Crescent, Ardrossan

After HALIA had reached the roadstead and released her two tugs, she headed northwards up the Clyde to the anchorage at Tail-of-the-Bank off Greenock, where she lay until about 0400 the next morning then moved upriver to the Oil depot at Old Kilpatrick, which is 9 miles downriver from Glasgow. Incidentally the tug STRONGBOW was one of the two tugs docking HALIA at Old Kilpatrick
