   CLAN MACTAVISH arrived at Glasgow at 0430 on 13th March 1964 with 2,050 tons of general cargo from Durban and Cape Town via Liverpool and berthed at berth 8 / 9 King George V Dock with her head south and was drawing 17’ 05” forward and 18’ 03” aft.   Her Agent was Cayzer Irvine at 109 Hope Street, Glasgow.

   Renfrew Stevedores boarded at 0800 on 13th March and commenced discharge of cargo, completing discharge at 1530 on 26th March.

   At 0700 on 17th March she shifted astern along the Dock wall from berth 8 / 9 to berth 9 and at 1410 that day, with draught forward 12’ 00” and aft 18’ 05” she was towed astern from King George V Dock moving a short distance downriver to the nearby Elderslie Drydocks for drydocking.   She undocked at 2130 on 23rd March and was towed upriver to berth 9 King George V Dock.

   Another shift, this time at 1630 on 26th March, shifting ahead along the Dock wall from berth 9 to berth 8.

   Renfrew Stevedores started loading 700 tons of general cargo at 0800 on 31st March and completed loading at 1600 on 3rd April.

   Just after loading was finished the ship had engine trials from 1645-1725.

   CLAN MACTAVISH left Glasgow at 1205 on 4th April for Cape Town via Birkenhead, her draught forward being 11’ 09” and aft 20’ 00”
