Clyde's First Hovercraft Service |
From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" newspaper dated 8th January 1965.
The Clyde's first Hovercraft service is due to start from Tarbert, Loch Fyne, in June.
It is intended to operate twice daily services between Gourock and Tarbert, and also to use Hovercraft in the Rothesay-Dunoon-Gourock-Helensburgh square.
Mr. Peter M. Kaye, Managing Director of Highland Engineering Ltd., Edinburgh, said that support had been received for the project from most of the Clyde towns. |
