From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" newspaper dated 1st January 1965.
Twenty-nine vessels, including four tankers, docked at Ardrossan Harbour during the week ended last Saturday.
The two largest vessels were the Norwegian vessel "Vestvard," from Thameshaven, which discharged a cargo of fuel oil, and the Dutch ship "Korovina" from Stanlow, with a cargo of spirit.
