   AMBITION is on a … maybe 6  month  …. charter by the Scottish Government to berth at 6 King George V Dock, Glasgow (exactly where Blue Funnel and Clan ships berthed) and will accommodate Ukranian refugees until they can be matched to suitable longer-term accommodation.

   She will house up to 1,750 people in 714 cabins and will provide all meals, laundry, etc. and the refugees will be able to come and go as they please on the ship at any time, day or night.

 

  As she passed Greenock, AMBITION was being assisted by tug AYTON CROSS (at the bow) and tug ANGLEGARTH at the stern.

   The earlier bright sunlight had gone, and the afternoon, as can be seen from the images, began to cloud over and heavy grey rainclouds  started to gather.

MSC UMA was towed astern from her berth at Greenock Container Terminal  by the Svitzer tugs AYTON CROSS and SVITZER MILFORD and the tugs canted (turned) her off Greenock Esplanade to allow her to proceed ahead on her passage from the Clyde to Le Havre (France).
