H.M.S. PEMBROKE and H.M.S. BROCKLESBY were conducting joint naval exercise off Kilcreggan, at Tail-of-the-Bank anchorage in the Firth of Clyde.
The manoeuvres lasted for most of the day and included firing flares into the air, the flares falling slowly down to the water. |

Between the two vessels, in the far distance and difficult to see is a small grey-coloured ship. It is the British Royal Naval Mine Counter-Measures warship H.M.S. PEMBROKE, which was conducting exercises with H.M.S. BROCKLESBY.

AMBITION is on a … maybe 6 month …. charter by the Scottish Government to berth at 6 King George V Dock, Glasgow (exactly where Blue Funnel and Clan ships berthed) and will accommodate Ukranian refugees until they can be matched to suitable longer-term accommodation.
She will house up to 1,750 people in 714 cabins and will provide all meals, laundry, etc. and the refugees will be able to come and go as they please on the ship at any time, day or night.
As she passed Greenock, AMBITION was being assisted by tug AYTON CROSS (at the bow) and tug ANGLEGARTH at the stern. |
