Calumet Own Page

"Calumet" leaves Montreal, being towed to Ardrossan

From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" dated Friday 2nd September 1960

On 3rd August, the deep-sea tug "Masterman," registered at Hull, left Montreal with the ship "Calumet" in tow.
Loaded with scrap iron, the remains of a sister ship, the "Calumet," weighing 4000 tons, will herself go to the scrap-yard after being discharged at Ardrossan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are greatly indebted to John Dunlap and Ed. Chaput, both of USA, for contributing these excellent images of "Calumet" in her working days on the Great Lakes of North America.
