   The motorship LANCASTRIAN PRINCE, launched on 26th April 1960 by the Burntisland Shipbuilding Company, is the ninth they have built for the Prince Line since the war.  

   Intended for the Mediterranean service, she has been built to carry citrus fruits as well as general cargo but may be readily converted for carrying grain.

   She has a deadweight carrying capacity of 5,500 tons and has single cabin accommodation for 12 passengers.   Her propelling machinery is a Hawthorn-Doxford 3,500 b.h.p. diesel engine.
