From "The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald" dated Friday 12th September 1969

The Clyde turbine steamer "Duchess of Hamilton" missed her final sailing of the season to Campbeltown on Monday because of a mechanical defect which developed last weekend.
Because of this the paddler "Waverley" was transferred to the Arran via Kyles of Bute sailing and the "Queen Mary 11" carried passengers on the cruise around Bute.

The Clyde turbine steamer "Duchess of Hamilton" missed her final sailing of the season to Campbeltown on Monday because of a mechanical defect which developed last weekend.
Because of this the paddler "Waverley" was transferred to the Arran via Kyles of Bute sailing and the "Queen Mary 11" carried passengers on the cruise around Bute.
